This was the usual HMRC scam with an American voice threatening me with all kinds of legal sanctions. The call came and interrupted an important Zoom call I was involved in. The perpetrators should be hunted down and have the book thrown at them. That’s putting it politely.

These people are calling me several times a day. I previously told them not to call me again. It s just a nuisance having to go to answer the phone only to find its them ringing again! I leave it ringing, but it s intrusive.

Smooth talking guy, asked for me by name. Wanted to talk to me regards my BT bill. I asked him what the problem was. He said no problem, I am your BT agent and could do a better deal. I said to him "but you aren't BT are you" and he told me he was authorised, had a number etc etc. Didn't seem too pleased when I said to him "You are not BT you are JTalk and hung up. Rang back but I let it ring out. Don't need to do business with a liar.
