Safe number Banking I contacted Barclays Help/Customer Service to confirm if this SMS text message was from them and they confirmed it was, I was sceptical, as the others were that posted their comments that this was a genuine text from them.

SCAM Someone rabbiting about a BT line on my answerphone, and Openreach. Clearly talking to someone else despite being connected to me. Foreign voice, asking someone about routers and phones connected. Definite scam call, and I don’t have a BT line either!

Reported to be from Virgin Media and advised to download 'anydesk' to remote onto my machine - total scam - BEWARE
