Caller said he was "Bruce" (he had a foreign accent, so I doubt this was his real name) from "Local Government Grant Scheme". I asked what company he represented; he said he was "not from a company. I am calling on behalf of the Local Government Grant Scheme". I asked if he was from the local government, and he said yes. "Which local government?" I asked. "Nottinghamshire," he replied. I asked for his phone number, and which department he worked for. He gave this number, and I said this was not a Nottingham

Very woolly, hard to understand recorded message claiming to be HM tax and revenue. I called back and talked to a person, who did not want to say what the call was about, but wanted me to put my wife on. Finally hung up.
