Claimed to be from a National Insurance Investigation team and that my National Insurance number was due to be suspended as I had committed a number of crimes.
Called twice at 0545. It was a fax machine.
Turns out it is a local call number for an American selling investment advice, so best avoided.

caller asked if I was Mr XXXXXX (maiden name of my dead wife). I said no, he said that he must have wrong number. I asked who was calling and he said that as I was not Mr XXXXX he could not tell me, so I told him he must be a scammer then and should just Fxxx off, and ended the call

Different number from earlier in the day, but a very similar foreign-sounding voice asking for 'the homeowner'. Waste of time. Beware.

Very rude people!! They have called me everyday and every day I have asked them nicely to take me off their data base - they all plead ignorant saying this is the first time they have called. They kept wouldn t listen when I told them I haven t been in an accident. I asked for their name and told them if they keep harassing me I will report them - she wouldn t give me her name and then hung up on me!
