Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. The number as reported has only 10 digits, it needs 11 to be valid. Some Santander numbers do start 05511 so in principle it s probably genuine, except too short.

01162 129945 This phone number is saying it’s from Virgin media aboutslow internet reported by my router. The voice sounds as if it comes from abroad, not Leicester, the caller sounds foreign. Maybe Asian call centre? The number was found by dialling 1471 and the call time and date were accurate Nov.30 @ 11:13a.m..

Called today, hung up as soon as I answered.

Comes up as International call but on investigation is a number from Alford uk.. obvious scam.

Stated they are calling to carry out a survey. Stated they got my number from one of their partner companies . Gave a list that included o2 amongst about 7 others. Basically fishing for info/interest to see if they can pass your details on to other companies - virgin, british gas, sky etc.

They call rambling about insurance cover. If you tell you "no" they keep bothering you. I have just shut the phone call and blocked them.

They called me but hung up before they told me who they are. After checking the tellows website, I still decided to ring back to find out who they claim to be. It sounded like an automated response, and probably just the start of a voice mail message, but they said they are: Home Shield Direct I have never heard of this company before; they might be trying to cold call me for a sale. I am not interested; I seek out what I want. This is a harassment call.
