The caller said we had banned loft insulation. Even though they didn't ask if we had any or which kind. They said we had to let their surveyor come and inspect the loft. I asked several times who they were and she kept saying we work with lots of companies. I said I would get it looked at myself and hung up.
This is another scam - it seems to have switched from a London number to a Manchester number. They are informing people about a 'possible refund from HMRC', in an Asian accent from a call centre environment.
SCAM: The number 08000478737 is on a letter supposedly from Trading Standards saying a wine investment company I have shares with has gone bust. The letter comes with an Insolvency Service form to complete regarding my shares, and that i must complete it in order to get full value of my shares returned. I must telephone the number to give the answers. Except, the wine company hasn't gone bust & Trading Standards don't send out these kind of letters.

SCAM - offered 40% discount on my next bill, when I asked who they were they said it was for my phone bill. I asked if it was Vodafone and she said yes, then asked how much I was paying for my phone bill and what kind of device I had - all information she should have been able to gather from my account. She offered my an iPhone 14 for £25 a month, I asked her to call me back the following day. Definitely a scam as they asked for a fictitious name I have given the scammers before and false information. Trying to get me to change my life insurance to them so they can have a holiday in the Bahamas all on my savings I would expect.
This number called my landline this morning but was left unanswered. I’ve just attempted to call back using another phone but got no reply. Since only a few trusted friends call my landline though, I do get plenty of junk/spam calls, I suspect this caller was one of the latter

Indian male called Alex purporting to be from BT telling me I had a problem with my internet and they were getting urgent error signals. I knew it was a hoax call, had them before, so asked him twice what the signals were and he put the phone down. I googled the number that came up, 01438 318251 and its for a homeless shelter in Stevenage. Indian scammers using business numbers for those that really need help! Sick b$%^A$%s!
