This is obviously a scam - slight delay on answering and recorded message cut in, but as soon as it stated this is HMRC I cut off the call.

Claimed to be from the "promotional department" of my network provider O2 and they can offer me a 40% discount on my bill. When I asked how much this would be, they said they do not have my contract in front of them and "that we work with all the major networks". I am neither with o2 or have a contract....SCAM Fraud

They call you and ask you to chose an option via an automated audio. This will likely re-route your call to a premium number that they own. It is not a legitimate caller so do not answer it.

An Asian gentleman called apparently on behalf of a company called Housing ???. (Couldn't understand the second part of the company name). Claimed that they helped tenants with repairs like mould etc. He knew my name, but didn't seem to know much else, seeing as I am not currently a tenant anywhere
A woman claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse asked for my phone company. She refused to answer the question of whether or not the process would cost money, so it's a potential scam. An annoying call for sure, as she kept on asking for my phone company.

This number is being used for a scam. This number called claiming to be the bank & said two large payments had been drawn from my account- one for Amazon & one international payment . I ended the call without pressing any phone keys, then phoned my bank on a trusted number: they said my account was fine & the call had been a scam.
Recorded message, woman's voice claiming to be from my 'bank security' (name of bank not specified), advising that 2 payments had been made against my card, to Amazon and an overseas transfer. An obvious criminal scam. Number now blocked and reported to ICO.

I rang the number back it’s about PPI saying I had money back in 2019 I told the lady I didn’t receive any money and to remove me from their database She started to raise her voice asking why would they do that when I had received money! I told her I had NOT received any money and to remove me from database. She started to speak I cut her short and said these calls should be removed remove me immediately and hung up. Scam from asian sounding male suposedly working for Virgin Media and claiming that my router was faulty. After getting me to jump through some hoops, told me that I would be getting a new router and £204.56 in compensation. SCAM Fraud Banking Firstly, a test message was received on a mobile saying it was the Fraud department of a Credit Card company and they would be calling about “recent activity from your card. Expect a call from our Fraud team. Please wait for our call”. That was followed 2mins later by a phone call to the same mobile number saying it was from 02071934897 (London). Not a number associated with a Credit Card company! The male caller asked for the additional card holder by name but hadn’t called that person
