SCAM text received advising me a standing order hade been set up for 500+ for life insurance on my Lloyds account . I don’t. And have never banked with Lloyds . The number they asked me to call by return is also flagged as a suspicious number . 01332556003
I've just kept one of their team talking for 12 minutes, saving others from being called by this scam! They claim to be "Road Traffic Management" and that they can get you additional compensation for a RTA you've had. They also claim to have got your details from the MIB (Motor Insurance Database), but when pushed they claim that all they were given was your phone number and the fact that your vehicle had been in an accident in the last five years that wasn't your fault. Nuisance caller, nobody is ever on the other end, apparently from Warrington, I suspect originating from Delhi
strange unsolicited call from number belonging to: 'W A Read & Sons Ltd' Upon answer there was no reply and the phone put down. I called them several times over and got redirected to voicemail until they eventually gave up and answered. Lady picked up and I asked "What do you want"? No response and phone was put down. This happened two more times. They then disconnected the phone it seems.
