When I called the number back a recording said it was changed to 118196, a directory inquiries service run by Vox Clarity. Clearly a telemarketer after selling insulation etc

0203 769 7565 - My elderly mother advised she had received a scam call, claiming to be Sky and calling her by name. Asian sounding woman (Susan) stated Sky are changing from monthly debit standing order to single annual payment, required upfront. DO NOT GIVE YOUR BANK DETAILS to them over the phone. Im not sure who these ppl are. But Ive seen theyve rang up alot of ppl saying they ve won a makeover. Well apparently you gotta pay £40 as a deposit. Now..Im not sure is this company is legit but it s not worth the risk. Do not accept..Ask for more details like I did. The man just got disinterested and hung up on me. He was impolite and rude.

Phone call purporting to be from Amazon saying prime membership was due, i should press 1 to go to an agent to make payment, they had the wrong amount and the real payment is not due yet, also the call could not be cancelled the electronic voice carried on until the message was over, this very obviously a scam and the bank agrees. This is also the third time they have tried this one pointless!

Hotpoint genuine caller. - I Missed a call from this number while at work. Received a very polite and informative voicemail from Hotpoint in relation to the part now being in stock for my washing machine repair and date for repair provided.
Insulation. Called to tell me that the loft insulation I had supposedly had installed could cause more problems than it solved. Told the caller they had a wrong number as this did not apply to me, yet the young man continued in his spiel, so I put the phone down. My number is ex-directory.
