TAXES / HMRC Auotmated call claiming to be from the HMRC fraud investigation dept. threatening to suspend my national insurance number because of criminal activity. Very keen for me to press 1 to be connected to an investigator.
Was called by this number which I let ring out but was then called again briefly by 01615247248 which I presume was them checking my number as it only rang for a few seconds This number is marked as Potential Fraud the second number wasnt

I had a call from populus survey yesterday and told them it wasn t a good time and they said they would call back. That was from number 0345 313 0337. Just had a missed call from the 0191 number everyone is talking about. I called it back and it says the number does not exist. Glad I googled it as had not connected the two. SCAM call received from this number at 1130 on Mon 19/10/2020 stating “THIS IS A CALL FROM BRITISH TELECOM. YOUR LANDLINE AND INTERNET ARE ABOUT TO BE DISCONNECTED. PLEASE PRESS ONE”. I suspect that this is one of those calls which when you press “1” you will automatically be charged for a premium call. If you receive a call from this number, do NOT press 1 and block the number from your system.
