SCAM - Apparently they were from Sky trying to test my broadband speed. Notwithstanding I am not with Sky, I asked them to tell me my own name and postcode and they hung up. How rude! I assume the next step would be to access my computer to 'fix' the issue.

Lady from a loud call centre claiming to be from BT Openreach....I strung her along for a bit...she wanted me to open pages on my internet so she could fix the slow connection that I (hadn't) logged with my ISP. When I asked if I could call her back she hung up on me. I just hope this prevents someone from actually falling for these phonecalls.

Line for shared costs, there are more similar numbers reported (just last 2 or 3 digits alternated) - so I assume this should be the same call centre. This seems to be some good working money trap, similar numbers are reported as robocalls, fake wins, scam
Asked for the manager. Asked which energy provider we are with. Said he was with British Gas - but we are with British Gas. Asked how much I pay. I said he should check that himself if he was with British Gas. Sounded like an offshore call centre.
