I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. Safe number: this is the number used by Apple is you ask for a phone call to verify your Apple account. It's actually in Texas in the US, and not Liverpool - it's a quirk of formatting. I know because I've just been through the system and dialled the number back to confirm.
