someone claiming to be from O2 called me just now from this number. They were offering a 30% discount on all my bills until the end of my contract, asked me if I wanted to go ahead and told me I would get two text messages with a code I needed to read back to them. Usefully, the text messages were from O2 (the caller had gone into my profile and done a forgotten password which triggers the texts) but the messages said very clearly not to share the info with anyone, even if they claim to be working from O2.

Claims they are from some housing association what to know if there is damage to your property. When I asked where did they get my number from they mumble some national something. when I said they don't have my number they said all they need to know if my house is damaged. I said they don't even know if my property privately owned. Then they hanged up.

Claiming to be from National Insurance and asking me to press 1 to speak to an investigator before action is taken against my national insurance number. They claimed some fraudulent activity on the North Wales border. I didn’t press 1 and ended the call as I’m sure that’s a scam.

they sent me an email claiming i will be charged £375 for Norton antivirues renewal. I called them they said they will need to take me through the process of cancellation which involved me being on the computer to fill in the cancellation form. However when I started the process I immediately suspected it was scam and called them out for being scammer. This number, an automated woman's voice, called my landline today and purported to be the bank saying that they're checking a £600 payment from my bank account to somewhere abroad. As my bank say they'd never phone me for details such as this caller was asking I suspected a scam and put the phone down straightaway. SCAM

this a computer hacker who says he is mircrosoft

Said they were BT, I had too many people using my IP. The account name was wrong. They said they could block them from their server, but it would be better from my PC. After my challenges they sent a text message with a verification code. It said to change my password. I did. Had one previously, real BT support said it was a scam. Assumed this identical call was too. Only the false account name was a clue, otherwise how can you tell?

Phone scam claiming I owed tax

This number has called me a couple of times. On both occasions the recorded message states that £700 has been taken from my card for Amazon and £2000 for another transaction. It asks you to press different buttons 1 or 2 to authorise or stop the transactions. On both occasions I hung up and checked my bank account and my amazon account. This is a scam. Be aware.
