Said they were calling to offer free inspection of loft insulation because the Government has designated some of the old stuff as "irritant". I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. They rang but did not leave a message. I am on the Telephone Preference Service. I tried ringing them back, but the message said "this number cannot be recognised", so assume it was a scam and have now blocked it

Calls from this number (and those ending with a few digits different) regularly received on office and home line. In all cases caller fails to leave message. If a return call is attempted the message is "number not recognised". A typical automated call centre - probably insulation scam or similar.

Claimed to be 3.com I don't use that service. All they typical traits of spam/scam call were present. Avoid.
