For a change, I pressed 5 because I wanted to find out how I got ON their database in the first place. Indian-sounding voice (female and obviously not very experienced) announced a problem with my BT broadband. I played along until she asked if I was in front of my PC. When I told her loudly I knew it was a scam, she told me to shut up several times. Ten mins later a male rang with the same story, got short shrift from me. Today it was this Brighton number, previously a Portsmouth one. I get these calls a lot!

Called twice on a saturday evening so I don t believe it s the HMRC survey others say them claimed to be. I don t use voicemail & don t answer unknown numbers so I don t know what they wanted. However, when you google their number & this page & many similar come up, it proves it s clearly a nuisance call.

They appear to have changed tactics - they now phone claiming that I m due compensation because of illness on holiday in the past 3 years. This hasn t happened and I asked them how they got hold of my number - they said from my holiday company, which is strange because I always put a no against any desire to share information with a 3rd party. When I said I was inTPS and would sue them if they called again, they said l couldnt do that...hilarious. when I asked for their name they hung up. Avoid.
