Claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service. I asked them where they were and he said London. I asked how the weather was in London, and he said the weather was fine. I replied and said it was raining in London, to which he said that he likes rain so it is fine. I called him a liar, he hung up. Scam.

Calls from 0115-677-5963 are a Scam! If ever you don't recognise the number, DON'T SPEAK & JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear anyone and after a short pause the line goes dead, then congratulations you've just successfully escaped being scammed! This is because it was a computer calling trying to establish if your number was in use and if a voiceline. If you'd spoken, your number would be logged as a voiceline and some clever con-artist would then be phoning you later.

They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. this number called me at 16.54pm on my mobile, lovely indian girl called laura couldnt get out what she was saying for laughing, i then said to her to behave herself, she then hung up the phone, suspisiously not even 30secs later this number phoned 02081234648 twice within seconds of each other, but luckly my mobile blocked the second number as suspected spam, think both numbers are linked
