SCAM / SPAM Several calls from an Asian woman claiming to work for mobiles.co.uk offering too good a deal to be true, she didn’t speak English well enough to be genuine. She then sent me an email which looked fake.

This number keeps calling my mobile number and I do not answer it as I do not know who, or why, they keep calling.
Do have a card(not owing yet on it). Though get constant good guy/bad guy calls from them, each individual trying to get more money off me in advance if due date. On one occasion the girl hung up with no comment as she was getting no where when I pointed out she had given different information to a previous caller and was purely trying to get more money on advance. What vanquis thinks this is going to achieve remains a mystery
Phoning persistently over the past few days from different numbers. Some kind of survey scam, but they hang up as soon as you deviate from script. If they call, don t give away any personal info: don t even confirm your name. Instead, try to politely find out their company name and address. Then send details to offcom / TPS / your MP etc (perhaps with a similar level of persistence?), until someone does something. It s just an idea. Good luck!

I was called yesterday by quite a polite guy asking me how much I pay for Broadband I said I was unsure and he told me about a Sky package that would cost me 19month with no set up fees and would include Broadband 350 channels including Sky Entertainment Package Netflix and Discovery Plus After 18 months it would increase unless I telephoned them I said I would need to think about it and he said I will arrange a quotcallbackquot tomorrow Today I was called back but alarm bells rung and then he hung up
