Scam or possible fraud, robotic caller announces that two recent unusual withdrawals have recently been made on my card , no specifics given and followed by Press 1 to speak to advisor.
They called asking for someone of a different name. I said it's a wrong number and they hung up. However it sounded very much like a scam call centre. After doing 1471 3 called them back and was hearing a recorded message about them being telly tube or telly shute. Never heard of them.
I picked up, cloud hear them talking to someone else in the background, then they hung up. Presumably cold-calling multiple numbers at the same time and someone answered just before I did.

SCAM claimed to be from Domestic and General, knew my name and address and what was insured. They said it had expired, it is continuous so I questioned it and I was passed to Supervisor who wanted me to get my debit card. I hung up. It was a call centre, both Asian accents. SCAM HANG UP
Went through all the comments, I found some painful, while some were funny. My conclusion is most people can still get scammed just because they can’t read in- between the lines. I’ve be victimized. Now I have a resident expert and a professional hacker who helped me recover my funds and so far, it had been worth it. Hackers easily know a bitcoin scam. I have twice received calls last week from somebody (Roger, I think) claiming to be from SSE. He wanted to talk about a new contract. He didn’t specify whether it was gas or electricity. He first asked for somebody who has not worked here for several years. I asked him to send the new prices by email. He seemed upset by this very simple request and claimed it was impossible. I told him to call back later in the week when he had sent the email. He did from this number and came out with the same drivel
