Refused to answer why they had called me. Said it was market research. Wouldn t give me details on how they got my number, wouldn t even remove my number unless I provided my name which I refused to do and I was bluntly told that it was my own fault if I got more calls. This is completely unacceptable - no company required your name to remove your number from their list. I see people are commenting saying that it s OK, it s legit. Fine - but do not refuse to take me off your calling list if I won t tell you

Someone called from this number to ask me about my workplace pension, they knew I was no longer paying into it, and that I had been paying in for around 5 years, maybe some of these were guesses, but foolishly I agreed to speak to one of their advisers . He kept telling me he couldn t hear me properly, called me back from a slightly different number (0161 8274383) wanted to know who I worked for and how many years I had paid into my pension. Told me they d be sending out the information pack in the post, v

They rang me to tell me that they were calling me from BT and were offering a service upgrade to eliminate harassment or telemarketing calls. I said that was fine, however she then asked me for details off my card for identity verification to which I answered you rang me and told me my name?? I ended the phone call very soon after that and didn t part with any details. If this is a genuine call from BT they should be pulled up for harassment themselves.
