SPAM I had a call this afternoon from 01491281131 The name was completely garbled but claimed there had been an attempt by Amazon for £300 this Morning, then a "suspicious- because I had never used this service before" International Money wiring service claim for £!,200. Then the usual Press 1 to cancel, 2 to speak to an advisor I did some checking and there is NO claims being made and the Phone Number has only been issued today, 5th April

A young man, purporting to be from a home insulation firm, said he was calling those in my postcode area to discuss insulation. When I demanded that he tell me the post code he politely rang off. Very dodgy, in my view

SCAM Presented themselves as an online competition for a DELL laptop through The Warehouse New Zealand. They asked for an entry fee to get our bank card number, took the entry fee then 3 days later took more money. The bank transaction shows as Highgames.Online and the number +44753717396 4691792... which the first part I thought might be a UK phone number, hence my post here. Just taken a call from this number suggesting they were from O2 and wanted to offer me a discount as I paid my bills regularly. The caller was not English speaking, suspect a scam, beware...

01794399253 called my landline on Thursday 13 July and a recorded message advised me that money had been transferred from my account and to key 1 to sort it. 01794 is a Romsey UK number as is my number so I assumed it was local. I did not continue with the call. It was the same as other messages that I have received recently mentioned Amazon. How do scammers phone from local numbers?

Had a missed call from this number - checked the "Who Called Me" site - there were no negative reviews so I thought I'd call it back. Automated message states, "This number is no longer in service." Two minutes after I had a missed call??? This is definitely a scammer

Had a Messenger response from someone who called himself Gary then Gaz in response to Facebook Market Place advert. Further message asked me to message him on 07984645686 as his iPad was playing up. I replied that I did not have my phone and could only use Messenger. He sent 3 further messages without any problem finally saying that he would call and collect the item next Tuesday and pay cash, and what is my address. I ended the conversation there.
