Asian caller claiming I was being awarded a government grant of £8000 for being a good citizen. The money was just for me to spend as I wished as long as it wasn't for illegal purposes. He gave me a 'unique' code DV678 and told me to ring 0203 2391126 immediately, quoting this code. He asked me to repeat the code and number to ensure I had it correctly written but became agitated when I said I couldn't ring now as I was on my way to work. People did someone answer it? Seems to be some call centre operating on the 016146467xx range. I have been using the ShouldIAnswer mobile application from these pages for blocking, works fine, can stop such calls and also a range of numbers (very usefull for call centres). No problems.
