Called to tell me my PC was infected and as a Microsoft Support Company they would help me if I logged on, connected to their support engineer who would then take over my PC and fix things. As I am a software support technician myself I know this to be a scam. Put him on hold for 10 minutes until he dropped the line. This number should be reported to the police.

caller said he worked with I.C.S. and my details were passed from the National Motor insurance database. He asked if I had had any accidents in last 3 years. Definite ambulance chaser. I kept asking him stupid questions until he got fed up - made me smile :-)
