They call my mobile several times a day, when answered they put the phone down so I called them back. They say they are to do with PPI. When I asked them to take my details off their system they just kept saying "do you even know why we re calling?" When I then started to tell them that their number is all over the internet as harassment calls they immediately put the phone down.

Guy called with Indian accent and said he was from an outstanding debt company and I asked him where he got my name and phone number from and then he got angry and said I was a bad girl and I was barking! When i started to laugh at him and told him he wouldnt be get any details from me, he got aggresive, so i hung up
Check out Companies house web site : Ronnie Royston Lee. The man sets up companies. Ignores TPS. Cold calls from a "suckers list" of people who have been scammed before. They try to sell "insurance" to cover kitchen appliances. One of my clients was sold a policy that covered a £50 microwave. Policy cost £90. Great deal. When the paperwork arrived, in small print at the bottom o0f the page it said "This is not an Insurance Product". That is because

The telemarketers are not scammers per se, they just cold call people to encourage fraudulent personal injury claims by pretending to know of some accident you had in the past 3 years. Do NOT trust these people; if you get caught, you re the only one in danger of imprisonment for insurance fraud!
They rang me regarding a survey I had completed, as I fill in loads of surveys I believed this to be true. They said I had won a £20 fuel voucher and gave a lot of information regarding how I can spend it etc. However they then went onto talk about how I could be part of their membership, which costs £79!
