SPAM / SCAM / ANNOYING - where did they get out telephone number from? The call was supposedly about old windows and doors scrappage scheme - to see if we were eligible. It seemed that the caller at the other end of the telephone may have been AI rather than an actual person as 'he' didn't actually comment on what I had answered but just went onto the next question. I therefore asked if it was a real person or AI and if it was AI, then I wasn't interested, and hung up.

I HAD A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER A MAN ASKED IF I HAD BEEN ON HOLIDAY IN THE PAST 2 YEARS, TOLD HIM TO MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS
Told them I wasn t interested about a past accident that wasn t my fault as it had been happily dealt with at the time. They put me on to their manager, who I had to emphatically repeat to that I wasn t interested before they got the message. Thanks to everyone on this forum for highlighting a possible scam. They must have got my number and the fact that I had an accident from somewhere, so a breach of the data protection act must have occurred. MY ADVICE: 1) REPORT THIS TO YOUR MP AND LOCAL COUNC
