Phoned today at12.15 pm. Fairly gruff voice. Purportedly from BT. Asked me to confirm that I had been in touch with BT this morning. As I had, I said yes. There was some hesitation and a lot of background noise. I asked what he wanted. He asked if contact was by phone or mail (I think). I replied that the contact was on the internet and he abruptly ended the call.

Scam call about appliance insurance renewal when infact I don't have such insurance. Female caller identified herself as Sam and spoke clear English. I let her waffle on to waste her time and she gave me a number to call back on 01273 101448. When I eventually asked why I was being contacted when I don't have such insurance to renew she ended the call abruptly.

Chinese lady called me, spoke very quickly. Not sure she mentioned the company name or hers. Said would mail me tomorrow with details of a teaching job as she had seen my CV on a job website.
