Scammers trying to tell me I have a virus on my Microsoft PC. Wanted to remotely control my pc to remove a virus.

Called me twice within 10 minutes without leaving a voicemail message

Called 3 times in 1 day, knew my first name and told me I’d replied to an online add indicating I was interested in earning money online - number now blocked

Missed call from this number. No voicemail received. Can only assume some sort of telemarketing scam. Will update with more info next time they call, if I manage to answer it.

Am ex directory but still received an attempted call (wouldn t leave a message) - will now permanently block this number via BT Call Guardian.

The caller immediately rang off without saying anything. Perhaps it was because I have got into the habit of saying "Hello" loudly enough to damage the eardrums when I get these unwanted interruptions. I rang back three times, purely for identification purposes. Each time I got a short recorded message and was then cut off. It was in an American accent. I am still little the wiser. I received a call from this number today, it s seemed to be a poor connection or he made out he couldn t hear me. I man with a very strong accent (not English) yet goes by the name of peter asked for me by name when I said yes. He said I m calling from the bank and hung up. I expected they ( whoever they are) wanted me to call the bank at some unknown exaggerated cost to myself.

Called our TPS registered number, asking for a member of staff by name; then asked for a message to be left for them from Warren at Payzone . A cold-call from a company we do not know and with whom have had no prior dealings (except for them making other cold-calls in the past).
