I asked him to re-read the number and at that point he became abusive calling me F***ing deaf the a F***ing b*tch !!! Claims to be BT but I know BT call customers using 0800 numbers - almost exclusively! So had no problem advising which aperture to shove his scam into. I would advise to be cautious and never give bank details to people on the phone unless absolutely sure they are who you think they are and probably best if you called them first! I'm on TPS and will advise them, but they need complaints in volume, so register with TPS and don't hesitate to report scam calls.
