Asking about car accident, but when asked who they were and what the call was regarding, just kept asking me if I had had a car accident on a certain date. Would not give clear answer as to the purpose of the call
Looks like a local number but there is a long silence and then a very noisy background and a foreign voice starts speaking at which I hang up

I checked with Homeserve because, coincidentally, I was expecting a call from them but it was not a number that I recognised - It is definitely not Homeserve, it is presumably a scammer. The proper number for Homeserve, if you need them, is 0800 247 999. What worried me and I mentioned it to them, is that Google currently puts ads for the scam number at the top of their search results. Homeserve are looking into this. I hope this information helps.

A call from this number to my grandmother offered a security service she said straight away she was not interested and put the phone down. They phoned back straight away and said that was very rude and used her first name. It was suggested that they should use her surname as they did not know her and he said I know you . A further call was left unanswered. This was quite upsetting. Something should be done about such calls.
