Scammers claiming to be from hmrc
After a significant delay (always suspicious), "Hi, this is Matthew. I'm calling about the government scheme for insulation, which you had installed in your loft." As soon as I said "Oh, no you're not" because we have no loft and have not had any insulation of any description installed for more than 10 years, he immediately hung up.
TAXES / HMRC – An automated voice informed me there is a warranty under my name and I'll be arrested immediately if I don't press #1.
Possible HSBC Fraud.

Caller said she was from "Energy Advisors" and that they work alongside my energy supplier. I asked who was my enery supplier and she said "EDF". This was wrong. Asked why she was calling me she said she was acting on "a lead". I told her that this was completely untrue as she clearly didn't even know who was my energy supplier. I suspect this company called my company switchboard based on my LinkedIn profile as I have never supplied my work number outside of work and is not publicly advertised. Cold called to ask whether I had a UK pension because they can give me ?advice?. Yeah right. SCAMRADAR activated.
They call from this number twice a day under the guise of different company names - Direct Utilities, Business Utilities, Select Utilities, Regional Utilities. They are clearly dumb, because when requested to remove our details from their records and stop calling, they say OK and then don t do it, despite being told the we only have a mailing box address and therefore have no need for utilities. Go back to school, children!

I ve been getting calls from this number on and off for a year and two things happen I answer and total silence or they attempt to make me buy a higher priced data pack and when I state that I don t need a higher priced data pack and even if I did I would just change it directly with their app they start getting more aggressive about it. This is a new, and weird, one for me. Called my landline but disconnected when I picked up (now they know this is a live number,,,damn!!). No message left so I'll never know if I have been left millions of pounds from an unknown benefactor who needs me to handle his money, for a small fee, to help them evade paying local taxes or being claimed by a fictional Government department.
