Said he was calling from BT about viruses on my computer. I asked him to tell me who he thought he was talking to as of BT he would know my name. Unsurprisingly he couldn t so I hung up.
Claiming to be about government insulation scheme however this is a scam / phishing operation requesting personal info. Caller using ghost software to hide true telephone number
Keeps ringing. Not answered yet as sick of nuisance calls. After reading comments I won t be answering.

This number called me saying that my windows operating system had been allowing virus s onto my computer. Windows do not call they issue updates if there is a problem. I had just purchased a new PC and registered this with Windows asked if they could tell me the model I had registered and any security questions but argued this was not required. This is a definite scam.
Claim for v specific PPI amount due - poss/prob a bluff - wondered if anyone else had experience of the sender
