North American voice asking me to press l within 24 hours or $799 will be charged to my Amazon account. ..l am one of the few people without an Amazon account!! To the unwary this could be a dangerous situation.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Also, my advice is not to take up credit or accept a credit cards from Vanquis Bank as they are extremely aggressive in their debt collection. Do the research and see how unhappy people ar
Automat - Answered the call and it said that there is a message waiting for me and to press 1 to accept or 2 to reject. Pressed 1 and it said I have a test waiting for 1st October at 12:40 (the same time we have a Specsavers appointment? probably coincidence)

Claimed to be from BT calling about faults showing on our broadband, sounded dodgy to me.
I think it was an attempt to scam me. Said it was BT Technical Department, Veronica speaking. I did not speak so she put down her phone.

Had a call from a rude obnoxious caller suggesting I could claim compensation for a non existing RTA Read elsewhere the ripoff cost of calling them to complain.

started to suggest where I was from and my address but this was incorrect. Said so and the chap continued on with his story. I hung up as this seemed like the start of a scam.
