said they were from a Life Insurance co and could offer me better quotes. Got my DOB and email address before I clued on! Have reported them to Action Fraud
As above, these Asian people call from many numbers and tell you that if you answer just six questions they will never call you again. Very polite until you refuse to help them ...

Picked up the phone, nobody spoke and the call ended after a few seconds. I'm registered with TPS, so assume this to be a scam.
Area code is local but remainder of number is not a local configuration. Obvious callcentre as a lot of noise in background. Asked for partner by name - told him not available...
