Scammer - claiming to be from BT internet. Was requesting that I give remote access to my laptop by running some remote viewer program. My internet connection is not supplied by BT so I strung them along as long as possible leaving them hanging on whilst I did other jobs - if they are wasting time with me they are having less time to scam others.
Claimed to be from BT OpenReach. Explained they were contacting people re internent connection. (1) Was asked if internet speed was okay. Replied upload/download speed fine. Was asked for precise speeds. Said I wasn't in front of a computer but upload/download speed fine. Had to say this three times. (2) Was told my area experiencing slow speeds. Explained internet speed fine. (3) Was told I would be cut off later today. Started to explain I wouldn't and that I didn't take kindly to threats but was cut
