SCAM. Beware that this is a call that is trying to link a device that is linked to the internet, thus controling your computer. They start by getting you to type in a link address thus taking over the control of you device and all the information. This was using Virgin Media as the starting point.

I was sitting at my desk right next to my phone, and I picked my phone up on the first ring. There was a pause and then the caller was surprised that someone answered. She asked for a name. She then pretended that she had dialled the wrong number. It is quite clear to me that this company is operating a scam. They probably have an automated system for dialling numbers from a list.
