SCAM / SPAM Appears to be uk call, but is international. AVOID, they cost you money to answer.

FraudFemale recorded voice with American accent (very amateurish) saying they were HMRC and that I had been reported for tax evasion. The case has been reported to the police and would be brought before a magistrate. "Press 1 to speak to a HMRC agent", Obviously I didn't. This country has some of the most advanced telecomms technology in the world. WHY can't the authoriries (Police, BT, the Regulator) take down these numbers?

Cold call from a "local" firm (100 miles away) to try and get me to participate in a window scrappage scheme. Implication it was official! Just trying to cash in on the green agenda, bound to cost over the odds TW
Calling reportedly as Virgin, offered no confirmation of any account details. All they could say is that the call was being reported and I had problems with my router. 1st of two calls hung up on me. 2nd couldn't answer simple confirmation question.
