01202 (Bournemouth) numbers starting either 143 or 159 are notorious for the current loft insulation / home energy efficiency scam.

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Also, my advice is not to take up credit or accept a credit cards from Vanquis Bank as they are extremely aggressive in their debt collection. Do the research and see how unhappy people ar
I dialled the number (witholding mine, of course!). It's invalid. Now blocked.
Silent call
!SCAM! I received an automated call, stating that I am in breach of and am under investigation for, Criminal Fraudulent use of National Insurance details. The Auto-Call made it sound like I would be arrested if I hung up or failed 'To press 1 and connect with an Officer'. Having connected to this 'Officer' I heard no English Language but instead was listening to what sounded like a physical fight against a background of Heavy Metal music. What a joke

This is unite the union selling life insurance among other things. they are genuine and not trying to "con" you. If you want life insurance, answer it but if you don t, don t bother.
