Calling from Beneficial ilfe something or other, I just quietly put mobile down and let them chat away and ring up their phone bill.
If you call back the number and press 5 to speak to an advisor they answer as either PPI Helpline or Park Lane Financial Services. Asking to be removed from their database makes no difference, they just keep calling you once they ve got your number.

Get several different variations of this number (last 2 or 3 digits change) all blocked. Think its life insurance or some kind of insurance. Total nuisance

I was offered advertising space in a magazine supposedly to raise funds for a children s charity. Fiona was very persuasive and did not give up easily! I declined and said I wanted time to think about it. I am glad I did, as an internet search revealed many unhappy comments from people who had gone ahead with advertising through them and felt thoroughly ripped off. Apparently they target new and small businesses. My details were obtained by them from Gumtree. Beware of calls from this number!
