Automated calls. Scary. For pensioner
Got call yesterday (4 Feb 2014) from this number saying they had got my number from an insurance database?? telling them that I had been mis-sold either a mortgage of credit car...
when I answered there was a man talking in the background, when I asked who was calling I got no response and then they hung up. When I tried calling them back, there was no dial tone the line was silent.
was told my hotpoint washer makers garuantee lapsed ,and told me I could have up to 5 appliences for about £15 per month. They refused to send offer to by email or post, got to speak to manager who assured me company was legit, but i would not comitt myself till i did some digging. Got intouch with trading standing who told me they had many complaints of selling methods and of upping the ammount of money taken ,
