Hard to know whether or not this was a scam call though it had some hallmarks. The caller's voice sounded like someone who phoned from a different number only yesterday and the MO was similar. She asked to speak with Mrs N (my mother) and when I said she wasn't available she couldn't get off the phone quickly enough; refused to share the name of the organisation she was calling from and said she'd get someone to call later. I don't think this is the way legit businesses operate. I blocked the number.
Dialled this number - 01223 932260 - automated voice said number not recognised.
Spam
Called purporting to be Inland Revenue saying my name was the subject of a fraud case. I cleared down as I am not a tax payer anyway.
answer phone no one speaks Lots of background noise. Same background noise I have heard from calls each day this week from Birmingham and Leeds phone numbers. Trying to sound like busy office
keeps ringing house phone when answered no one there so they then ring mobile and its exactly the same no one there

Fraud
do not answer.. or answer and waster there time as they waste yours
I Answered call, slight delay then a recorded message from 'Amazon' stating my account had been charged. I just ended the call as I dont have an account with Amazon. Definitely a scam
