They said 40 people were using my connection and they were about to disconnect me. I "Chatted with Bt via my account and was told that Bt would only use 0800 numbers. I asked them to report this number. They do answer BT open reach and gave a Newdigate address. They are very plausible. We are being pestered by calls- 2 or 3 a day. Who sold my number?

08005875290 - Called twice; same as others, no response when I answered it. I had just sent an SMS message via my land line (first time done so) and not long after got my first call from this number. Checked number on internet and found this website (a very useful site). I have reported the number to my phone supplier (Virgin), who has recorded it as a nuisance call and blocked it for me. (Excellent service).
