I usually don t answer numbers I don t know (as I get a lot), but I felt like answering this time. A bloke with a northern accent asked for Mr Chin . I told him I don t know that name (as it s not my name and I know no one of that name.) The man on the phone then asked: "Are you hiding him?" I had a call from this number. Did not recognise it. On dialling 1471 I was informed "The person on extn 9268 is not available. Please leave a message..." Then "the inbox is unable to take any more messages as it is full". Have put it on choose to refuse now.

I had a call today. There was a big pause and I could hear all this chatter in the background, then they said they were BT, I am not even with BT, I hung up.

Tried to bombard me about investment products saying they are GE Markets but gave them my peace of mind till cutting the line, they do not even panic if exposed.

Persistant caller despite my number being registered withthe TPS. They do not remove your number from their listing no matter how often you tell them to do so. Report them to both the TPS and Direct Marketing Association who have investigated their practices before.

UPDATE - now verified as the TSB fraud line. All ok.

Is ringing daily, says from BT and there is a router problem, when you start asking questions they simply hang up. If you try and ring this number back you are informed that it is not recognized and you should check and try again!
