Answered this as they used my local dialling code. Asked if I had had a road traffic accident. I said no and he apologised.

They had my name and phone number, and wanted to ask me about payment protection insurance. They said the call centre is in South Africa, and the accents would support that. I asked how they had my number. "National consumer database", which I said sounds a fictitious name. The supervisor told me their alleged company name, and another highly ambiguous trading name, and had me look up their website. Allegedly from Consumer Lifestyles ... Woman asked for my son on MY mobile number. I told her he wasn t available so she went on to ask if I was one of the members of the household, and she will only take a few minutes of my time. I told her not to bother and that I m not interested - she hung up on me. This number has also called me on my house phone. Number now blocked on both phones..
