SCAM claiming to be from National Grid to change electric meter!
would like to know who they are
Automated line
IT'S A DANGEROUS SCAM! A computer is dialling numbers in sequence to sniff out voice lines. If you speak then the line is detected as 'an active voice line' and logged as such, a scammer will then be calling you later! If you don't recognize the number calling DON'T SPEAK, JUST LISTEN! If you don't hear a voice and then the line goes dead then congratulations - you have just successfully escaped being scammed! THESE CALLS ARE HARASSING AND ALWAYS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!
This marketing company buys mobile details then tries to sell you financial services. Annoying cold callers.
This number has tried to call me several times over the past couple of weeks. No voice mail left, just a text to say I have missed a call. I tried to call the number back as have been waiting to find out about a job I applied for. When I called the number nothing happens, no dialling tone, just disconnects straight away :(!!

Scam Called to say I would be arrested if I didnt press one, some government scam
I received a call on my landline today from 07859 986874. There was a long pause before an Asian man with poor English replied and asked how my computer was today. He didn't know my name or any of the computers that were online (as we work from home so we have company and personal computers currently online). I hung up and tried a reverse call and the exchange said that the number was not recognised so obviously a scam that they can hide their true number behind mobile numbers that aren't in use.
