Got a text from this number today, 7 Sept. Never opened the text and deleted it straight away. I could see that it was some fake warning about a PayPal account being accessed from a new device. Since I do not have a PayPal account, I immediately realised that it was a phishing attempt.

It was auto call telling me my name was being used against a tax fraud and if i didn't press 1 the frraud would be sent in my name. I pressed 1 and was asked the reason for my call. i told him then he ask for my name which i gave then he said hang on while i look up uour name to bring up my files. Automatic voice stating they were from HMRC - I hung up promptly as I believe it to be a scam. HMRC always write and never ring mobiles or landlines.
