Called a number of times making muffled noises on the other line, before hanging up. I presume they are trying to initiate a call back that preceds to over charge you. Would not call back - I am blocking them immediately.

Received two automated voicemails in American accent (female) telling me they were calling from Officer Dennis Grey of HMRC. If I did not call back or they did not hear from my solicitor, I should 'get ready for the consequences'. Then they kindly told me to 'take care'. Reported as HMRC phishing scam. Ignore.

Debt collection agency. They use numerous phone numbers to trick people into answering phone and are then very determined to get information. Even if you do owe money be cautious or you may be worn down & agree to pay them more than you can afford. Companies should send you a letter informing you they have transferred you to a debt collection agency.
