Chap with an Asian accent (Indian, Pakistani possibly). Knew my full name which concerned me. Said he was calling from "Credit Investigation Department" and that his records show I was currently paying off debts in my name (false). Told him to politely bugger off and remove my number from whatever database he was using. Complained to TPS.
Called twice today 14th Jan 21. No message left - an answering machine comes in very handy on these occasions.

SCAM texted me as follows: "hello mum hope you're okay, I've dropped and smashed my phone by mistake pls give me a msg on my temporary number 07904347840". My child was next to me without a phone when I got this text!!!
Left messages to call back but doesn't say why!

Probably trustworthy, but they (their machine) need to ring for more than 5 secs to allow for answering. I recently attended a house-viewing through them, it s probably related.

SCAM Recorded msg saying from HMRC and threatening arrest if you don’t press 1. Don’t be fooled. This is scam.
Automated voice saying 2 transactions have gone out my account, both amazon, for £300 & £1000. Press 1 to cancel blah blah blah... I hung up! ((((SCAM))))

It s the usual "our records indicate you ve been in a car accident" phone call. Hung up immediately.
