I was called at 12:55 in London from this Manchester number but didnt answer as presumed it was an ambulance chaser or my Mac has a virus?! No message left so doubt if the call is important & as I suspect a scammer.

SCAM Just received an automated call from "Amazon" stating that unusual activity was noticed on my account. The message quoted an Amazon order number to the value of £1049. It then proceeded to ask me to press 1 to confirm or 2 to speak to a member of the cancellation team. I don't think that Amazon have a call centre in Wigan and use 01942527757 to dial out to customers.

As mentioned Vanquis Bank use numbers from all over the UK to trick peoople into answering
somebody phoned me from this number at 6.26 am on sunday morning and woke me up,returned call no answer,very annoying.
