Recieved phone call from 01483577441 at 1045am on Saturday 28th January 2023, Preporting to be from Amazon, stating they were witholding a payment of £700.00 As they suspect it. Asking me to press 1, which of course I didn't. This was a recorded message. I have never bourght anything of that value. This is a scam. beware.

Scam text message stealing info and money
Indian guy called and said he was from EE and i am the wrong rate! I have a PAYG phone so not relevant. He asked how much I pay per month, and I said if he was from EE he would know! Told him I m not interested, and hung up. He then kept texting me saying "I m only trying to help U" Scammer I believe, so don t trust this number. Have now blocked it.
When you answer it hangs up, don t call back!

I have had constant calls from them today claiming to be from AA Assist, when i pressed them to see if they meant AA - Automobile Association, she didn t confirm or deny that. I had a non fault small car accident last summer which they knew about and I believe was trying to get me to press for injuries, damages, loss of work etc, all of which I did not need as I had no injury, car repairs were taken car of by insurers and everything was fine, but they had an old address for me.
