We just received the same call from an indian sounding man - as soon as we mentioned we work in corporate IT he hung up - these calls are so annoying.
This HMRC scam has been around so long it has lost all its hair!

Said his name was Victor and was calling from BT, having provided guarded responses to his queries he asked if I had changed my broadband internet setting from Private to Public recently and when I said No the call was ended from his side. Hmmmm...suspicious?

Harrassed me for around 5 months, after the issue was resolved they still leave me voicemails. Can I get them in trouble for this?
Got a call from a man with strong northern accent he asked for me by name. He said that they believe that I had worked in a noisy environment. When I told him I hadn t he asked what jobs I had done since leaving school. He than asked if I had ever worked in a noisy job, I told him no, he then just cut me off. I cannot stand ignorance and bad manners he shouldn t be ringing anyone with the attitude he has, prat!
