It uses a computer program to ring your number, and if you answer, and an agent is available to talk to you they will, but if not, some hear a ‘goodbye’ some a essage, and some hear nothing. Recorded message says illegal activity had been made using my internet connection and want me to press numbers for their support team otherwise internet connection will be stopped
They called me on a private ex-directory number. I do not know how they got this number - I give it out to only a very small number of people, all of whom I know. I think they are the same people who have been calling me for the last 4 months trying to sell me some investment scheme - previously they always withheld their number. I have told them not to call me but they don t stop - really irritating people.
